up from the grave he arose

.
Crown him with many crowns, the Lamb upon his throne,
Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns, all music but its own.
Awake, my soul, and sing, of him who died for thee,
And hail him as thy matchless King, through all eternity.
.
Crown him the Lord of life, who triumphed o'er the grave,
And rose victorious in the strife, for those he came to save.
His glories now we sing, who died, and rose on high,
Who died, eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die.

Matthew 28:5-7
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you."

today is easter sunday. i hope you are enjoying wonderful times with your families, eating good food and rejoicing in the risen Savior. what a wonderful day to celebrate the day Jesus rose up from the grave proving that He had conquered death and sin forever, allowing us to come and relate to the Father based on His righteousness and sacrifice.

it is good to be home from the beach. it felt like a very long time away from home. it was wonderful to come back to celebrate easter with our church family this morning and then share easter lunch with grandmother and family. now i get to sit outside and enjoy this gorgeous 88 degree day, listening to sigur ros, reading books, and eating my chocolate easter bunny.

happy easter!!
