on the sad side of news, all my wonderful classics came in the mail from amazon but they were completely ripped and crumpled due to improper packaging. so disappointing. so i packed them all back up and dropped them by the ups store today to send back to amazon. when i handled the paperbacks i also decided that i should have gone with my gut and spent more money to get hardbacks. i'm just a hardback sort of girl. so i returned them and for now i've reordered copies of the count of monte cristo and the house of mirth in hardback. that'll last me a while. when i'm done with those i'll order some of the other books i had previously ordered in paperback. i'm currently enjoying reading the last harry potter - finished 6 and cried my eyes out when dumbledore died. now i'll start 7 and read that until the new copy of the count comes. 

and on happy news i've got to end this post and get ready because i'm going to a super fun cinco de mayo party that our care group is doing at my friend liz's house. here's to mexican food, alcohol, stick on mustaches and pinatas!
