this & that

sorry for the lack of posts. i've kind of been in a slump and haven't felt like posting, but i'm on my way back to normal so i'll try to start posting things again.

BOOKS

i'm about 6 chapters into the count of monte cristo (or the count of monte crisco as mom sometimes call it... silly us) and loving it. its a lot easier to read than i anticipated - he doesn't use massive words or really old fashioned language, so its very readable and enjoyable and i don't think i'll have a problem getting through it. looking forward to picking it back up again later today.









TELEVISON

i am looking forward to the GLEE and American Idol finales this week.

scotty or lauren - who's gonna win??

i like them both, so i won't be upset either way, but i'll be voting for scotty. :) GO NORTH CAROLINA!



















and this is a little delayed, but i am very very excited to watch the season finale of saturday night live which was hosted by justin timberlake. jt's snls are always hilarious and he's phenomenal in the sketches they do for him. just go to youtube and type in "justin timberlake snl" and click on some of the options that come up. they're hilarious.




MOVIES

last monday mom and i went to see bridesmaids. it was absolutely hilarious. kristin wiig is a genius. the movie was also surprising heartfelt- it wasn't all laughs. maybe its because i've had a lot of friends get married, but i related a lot with kristin's character so i think i cried as much as laughed. people will laugh at me for that.. but i consider it a very well made movie if it can genuinely make me laugh and cry in the same movie. loved it. (warning: it is a bit crude, but i assume if you're going to a comedy that's rated R you understand these things.)




i also watched its kind of a funny story this week. loved it.




there wasn't really anything in the theatres that i thought mom would like to see today (mondays are our movie days) so instead we are watching a movie at home. she's never seen burlesque an i'm excited to share it with her. when i saw it in the theatres i loved it. i also love the soundtrack.




well that's about it. i've been listening to some new music but i'll post that another day. i'll leave you with this random picture which totally cracked me up.
